What is Mounjaro 7.5mg KwikPen?
Mounjaro 7.5mg KwikPen contains Tirzepatide 7.5mg, a higher maintenance dose that may be considered for patients with Type 2 diabetes after initial dose titration, when lower doses have not achieved adequate blood sugar control.
A physician may consider escalating to 7.5mg after at least 4 weeks on the 5mg dose, provided the patient is tolerating the lower dose adequately and additional blood sugar control is needed. This decision should be made solely by your treating doctor.
Some clinical studies suggest that higher doses of Tirzepatide may be associated with greater blood sugar reduction and more pronounced weight changes in some patients. However, individual responses vary considerably, and higher doses also carry a potentially greater risk of side effects. The most appropriate dose for you should be determined by your doctor.
It is intended to be injected subcutaneously once weekly. Injection sites should be rotated (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm) to reduce the risk of localised skin reactions.
It may be used in combination with other antidiabetic medications under medical supervision. When used with insulin or insulin-stimulating agents, some patients may experience hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar). Close monitoring and possible dose adjustments may be needed. Your doctor will advise on the safest combination.
Follow the instructions in the product leaflet carefully. Pinch the skin at the injection site, insert the needle, and activate the pen as directed. Always rotate injection sites each week. If you are unsure about the technique, ask your healthcare provider for a demonstration.
