- Palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer
- Management of locally confined prostate cancer, in combination with flutamide
Benefits Of Zoladex LA 10.8mg Injection:
In Prostate cancer
The prostate gland produces seminal fluid that supports and transports sperm. A common symptom of prostate cancer is difficulty urinating, though some patients have no symptoms at all. Zoladex LA 10.8mg Injection reduces testosterone, the hormone that drives prostate cancer cell growth, helping slow or stop tumor growth and easing urinary symptoms. Its 3-month depot formulation means fewer injections are needed compared to the 3.6mg monthly version.
Mechanism Of Action of Zoladex LA 10.8mg Injection:
Zoladex LA 10.8mg Injection is a synthetic GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) agonist. With continued use, it suppresses the pituitary gland’s release of luteinizing hormone (LH), which in turn lowers testosterone to levels similar to those seen after surgical castration, helping slow cancer growth and relieve symptoms.
