Description
Introduction Of Zildox 50mg Injection:
Zildox 50mg Injection is an anticancer medicine used to treat colon and rectal (colorectal) cancer. Its active ingredient is oxaliplatin. It belongs to a group of medicines called platinum-based chemotherapy.
Zildox 50mg Injection is for intravenous (IV) infusion only. It is diluted before use and given slowly over about 2 hours by a doctor or a trained healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic. It is usually given together with fluorouracil and leucovorin, in cycles every 2 weeks. Your doctor will decide the dose based on your body surface area, your kidney function, and your blood tests, and it may change from time to time. Treatment can cause nerve problems that are triggered by cold, so avoid cold drinks, ice, cold air, and touching cold objects during the infusion and for several days after each cycle. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid alcohol during treatment.
Numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, mouth, or throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tiredness, and a fall in blood cell counts are among the most common side effects of this medicine. It can cause serious allergic reactions, sometimes within minutes of the infusion, especially in people who have reacted to other platinum medicines before. Regular blood tests and nerve checks are required before each cycle. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience swelling of the face or throat, difficulty in breathing, a rash, a fast heartbeat, fever or chills, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe diarrhea or vomiting, difficulty swallowing, or numbness that does not go away between cycles.

Mechanism Of Action Of Zildox 50mg Injection:
Zildox 50mg Injection is a platinum-based anticancer medication. Its active ingredient, oxaliplatin, is turned into active forms inside the body that attach to the DNA of cancer cells. This forms links within and between the DNA strands, which stops the cells from copying their DNA and making RNA. The cancer cells can no longer grow and divide, and they die. This is how it works against colon and rectal cancer.
