Zildox 100mg Injection contains Oxaliplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy medicine used in the treatment of colon and rectal (colorectal) cancer, including stage III colon cancer after complete surgical removal of the tumor and advanced or metastatic disease.

Zildox 100mg Injection is administered only by a trained healthcare professional as an intravenous infusion, usually over 2 hours, after the lyophilized powder is reconstituted and diluted. It is used in combination with other cancer medicines such as 5-fluorouracil and folinic acid. Your doctor will decide the dose and schedule based on your body surface area, blood counts, and response to treatment. It should never be self-administered.

Numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, which may be triggered or worsened by cold, is one of the most common effects of this medicine. Avoid cold drinks, ice, and cold air during and for a few days after each infusion. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are also common. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice persistent numbness, difficulty swallowing or breathing, fever, unusual bleeding, or signs of infection. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
