Tipanat 15mg Tablet is a combination anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer and advanced gastric (stomach) cancer, including cancer of the junction between the oesophagus and stomach, in patients who have already received other chemotherapy treatments.
Tipanat 15mg Tablet should be taken with food, at a fixed time each day, to achieve the best effect. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary based on your body surface area, usually given twice daily on days 1 through 5 and days 8 through 12 of each 28-day treatment cycle. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised, and swallow the tablet whole without crushing, splitting, or chewing it. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause serious side effects. Do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
Nausea and fatigue are among the most common effects of this medicine. Your doctor will monitor your blood counts closely during treatment, as this medicine can significantly lower your body’s ability to fight infections.
