Description
Introduction Of Taceedo 120mg Injection:
Taceedo 120mg Injection is an anticancer medicine used to treat breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, stomach cancer, and cancers of the head and neck. Its active ingredient is docetaxel. It belongs to a group of medicines called taxanes.
Taceedo 120mg Injection is for intravenous (IV) infusion only. It is diluted before use and given slowly, usually over about 1 hour, once every 3 weeks, by a doctor or a trained healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic. It may be given alone or together with other cancer medicines. Your doctor will decide the dose based on your body surface area, your liver function, and your blood tests, and it may change from time to time.
You will be given a steroid tablet, usually starting the day before each infusion, to lower the risk of allergic reactions and fluid build-up. The medicine contains alcohol, so be careful with driving or using machinery after the infusion. Use effective contraception during treatment, as this medicine can harm an unborn baby.
Low blood cell counts, hair loss, tiredness, nausea, mouth sores, and swelling from fluid retention are among the most common side effects of this medicine. It can seriously lower your white blood cells, which raises the risk of infection, so regular blood tests are required before each cycle. Fluid retention may not start straight away and often appears after several cycles.
Serious allergic reactions can happen within minutes of the infusion starting. Tell your doctor if you have liver problems. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience fever or chills, signs of infection, a rash, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty in breathing, sudden weight gain or swelling of the legs, severe diarrhea, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
