Rascase 1.5mg Injection contains Rasburicase, a recombinant urate-oxidase enzyme used to manage high uric acid levels (hyperuricemia) caused by tumor lysis syndrome in patients undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia, lymphoma, or other cancers.
Rascase 1.5mg Injection is administered only by a trained healthcare professional as an intravenous infusion, usually over about 30 minutes, using the diluent provided. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration, typically once daily for up to 5 days or until uric acid levels normalize. It should never be self-administered.
Nausea, vomiting, fever, and headache are among the most common effects of this medicine. This medicine is not suitable for patients with G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) deficiency, as it can cause serious blood-related reactions in such patients, so your doctor may test for this before starting treatment. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice hives, difficulty breathing, unusual fatigue, pale or bluish skin, or dark-colored urine.
