Nudoxa 2mg Injection contains Liposomal Doxorubicin Hydrochloride, an anthracycline topoisomerase inhibitor used in the treatment of ovarian cancer, AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma, and multiple myeloma. The doxorubicin in this formulation is encapsulated in liposomes, which helps it circulate longer in the body and target tumor tissue more effectively.
Nudoxa 2mg Injection is administered only by a trained oncologist as an intravenous infusion after dilution, given at a slow initial rate to reduce the risk of infusion reactions before completing the infusion over about an hour. It should never be given as an undiluted or bolus injection, and it should not be substituted for conventional (non-liposomal) doxorubicin. Your doctor will decide the dose and treatment cycle, usually once every 3 to 4 weeks, based on your condition. It should never be self-administered.
Low blood cell counts, mouth sores, and hand-foot syndrome (redness, swelling, and pain on the palms and soles) are among the most common effects of this medicine. This medicine can also affect heart function, especially at higher cumulative doses, so your doctor will monitor your heart health regularly. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice flushing, difficulty breathing, chest pain, swelling of the face, fever, or signs of infection during or after the infusion.
