Description
Introduction Of Mitomycin 40mg Injection:
Mitomycin 40mg Injection contains Mitomycin, an antibiotic-antineoplastic medicine used in combination with other cancer drugs to treat stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and bladder cancer.
Mitomycin 40mg Injection is administered only by a trained oncologist as an intravenous infusion after the lyophilized powder is reconstituted and diluted. For bladder cancer, it may instead be instilled directly into the bladder through a catheter to help prevent recurrence after surgery. Your doctor will decide the dose and schedule, usually once every 6 to 8 weeks, based on your condition and blood counts. It should never be self-administered.
Nausea, vomiting, and low blood cell counts are among the most common effects of this medicine. This medicine can also affect the kidneys and lungs, so your doctor will advise regular blood tests and monitoring of kidney, liver, and lung function during treatment. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice unusual bruising or bleeding, pale skin, confusion, reduced urination, swelling, difficulty breathing, or red or pink-colored urine. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, and effective contraception is advised for both men and women during treatment.
