Description
Preface Of Cyendiv 150mg Capsule:
Cyendiv 150mg Capsule is a medicine used to slow the scarring of the lungs in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and other chronic fibrosing lung diseases. It is also used, together with another anticancer medicine, in some patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Its active ingredient is nintedanib. It belongs to a group of medicines called kinase inhibitors.
Cyendiv 150mg Capsule should be taken with food, twice a day, about 12 hours apart. Swallow the soft capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it. Your doctor will decide the dose, and it may be lowered or paused if side effects occur. If you miss a dose, take the next dose at the usual time, and do not take a double dose. Take it exactly as your doctor has advised, and do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to. Do not smoke during treatment, as smoking can lower the amount of the medicine in your body. Use effective contraception during treatment, as this medicine can harm an unborn baby.
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and decreased appetite are among the most common side effects of this medicine. Drink plenty of fluids if you have diarrhea, and ask your doctor about anti-diarrhea treatment early. Liver function tests are required before and during treatment. Inform your doctor if you have liver problems, heart problems, high blood pressure, or a bleeding disorder, or if you have had recent abdominal surgery. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience severe or persistent diarrhea, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, unusual bleeding or bruising, chest pain, or severe stomach pain.
Uses Of Cyendiv 150mg Capsule:
- Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)
- Other chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases with a progressive course
- Interstitial lung disease associated with systemic sclerosis
- Non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma), in combination with docetaxel, after first-line chemotherapy
Benefits Of Cyendiv 150mg Capsule:
1. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a long-term lung disease in which the lung tissue becomes scarred and stiff, which causes breathlessness and a dry cough. Cyendiv 150mg Capsule slows the scarring of the lungs. This helps to slow the decline in lung function and may reduce flare-ups of the disease.
2. Other fibrosing lung diseases
Cyendiv 150mg Capsule is also used in other lung diseases that cause progressive scarring, including the lung disease that is linked to systemic sclerosis, to slow the loss of lung function.
3. Lung cancer
In some patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, Cyendiv 150mg Capsule is used together with the anticancer medicine docetaxel. It blocks the growth of the blood vessels that feed the tumor, which helps slow the growth of the cancer.
4. Oral treatment
Cyendiv 150mg Capsule is taken by mouth at home, which makes long-term treatment easier to manage.
Side Effects of Cyendiv 150mg Capsule:

Medium Of Action Of Cyendiv 150mg Capsule:
Cyendiv 150mg Capsule is a kinase inhibitor. Its active ingredient, nintedanib, blocks several growth factor receptors, including VEGFR, FGFR, and PDGFR. These receptors signal the cells that cause scarring in the lungs to multiply, move, and make scar tissue. By blocking them, nintedanib slows the build-up of scar tissue in the lungs. In cancer, blocking the same receptors also reduces the growth of new blood vessels that feed the tumor. This is how it works in lung fibrosis and lung cancer.
