Cresp 500mcg Injection contains Darbepoetin alfa, an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) used in the treatment of anemia (low red blood cell count) caused by chronic kidney disease and anemia in patients receiving chemotherapy for certain types of cancer.

Cresp 500mcg Injection is given as a subcutaneous injection using a single-use prefilled syringe, under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you need it based on your hemoglobin levels, and will adjust it as your levels change. Store the syringe in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C, protected from light, and do not freeze or shake it.

Your doctor will check your blood pressure and hemoglobin regularly during treatment, as this medicine can raise blood pressure and should not be used if your blood pressure is uncontrolled. It may take 2 to 6 weeks to notice an increase in hemoglobin levels. Inform your doctor if you notice severe headache, chest pain, swelling in the legs, shortness of breath, or unusual tiredness.
