Description
Introduction Of Canmab 150mg Injection :
Canmab 150mg Injection is a targeted anticancer medicine that contains Trastuzumab, a HER2-directed monoclonal antibody. It is used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer, both early and metastatic, and HER2-positive metastatic stomach (gastric) cancer, together with chemotherapy. It comes as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a single vial that contains Trastuzumab 150 mg, and it is for intravenous (I.V.) infusion only.
Canmab 150mg Injection is dissolved and diluted and given by a doctor or trained nurse as a slow infusion into a vein, in a hospital or cancer care centre. It is usually given every 3 weeks, and in some regimens every week, and in early breast cancer it is generally continued for about a year. Your oncologist will calculate the dose from your body weight and will choose the chemotherapy medicines that go with it. A test on the tumour must first confirm that the cancer is HER2-positive. The first infusion is given more slowly and watched carefully for reactions.
Fever, chills, headache, and tiredness during or soon after the infusion are among the more common effects of this medicine. It can also weaken the heart muscle, so your doctor will check your heart function before and during treatment. Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, or lung problems, or if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice breathlessness, swelling of the legs, a new cough, rapid weight gain, or a fast heartbeat.

2. Metastatic breast cancer
When HER2-positive breast cancer has spread to other organs, this injection, usually given with chemotherapy such as paclitaxel, helps to slow the growth of the tumours, reduce their size, and help patients live longer.
3. Metastatic stomach cancer
In HER2-positive stomach cancer or cancer of the junction between the stomach and food pipe, it is added to chemotherapy to improve the response to treatment and survival.
