Cabapan 60mg Injection contains Cabazitaxel, a microtubule inhibitor used in the treatment of advanced or metastatic prostate cancer that has already been treated with other chemotherapy medicines.

Cabapan 60mg Injection is administered only in a hospital setting, by a physician experienced in giving cancer chemotherapy, as an intravenous infusion after the concentrate is diluted twice using the diluent supplied in the pack. Your doctor will decide the dose and schedule, usually once every 3 weeks, based on your blood counts and response to treatment. Medicines such as antihistamines, steroids, and acid-reducing drugs are usually given before the infusion to help prevent allergic reactions. It should never be self-administered. Men using this medicine should use effective contraception during treatment and for several months after the final dose.

Low blood cell counts, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, and hair loss are among the most common effects of this medicine. Your doctor will advise regular blood tests to monitor your blood counts during treatment, and may adjust or delay your dose if your white blood cell count drops too low. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice fever, chills, signs of infection, severe diarrhea, unusual bleeding, or signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing.
