Description
Introduction Of Arbeedect 4mg Tablet:
Arbeedect 4mg Tablet contains Moxidectin, an antihelminthic (anti-parasitic) medicine used to treat onchocerciasis, commonly known as river blindness, an infection caused by the parasitic worm Onchocerca volvulus that can lead to severe skin conditions and visual impairment.
Arbeedect 4mg Tablet is taken orally as directed by your doctor, usually as a single dose, with or without food. It should be dispersed as directed and taken exactly as prescribed — do not take more or less than advised. Absorption of this medicine is increased with a high-fat meal, so your doctor may advise timing around food accordingly.
Because this medicine works by killing the parasite’s larvae, the body’s reaction to the dying larvae can cause a set of symptoms known as a Mazzotti reaction, including itching, rash, fever, joint or muscle pain, and dizziness, especially during the first week of treatment. Dizziness or lightheadedness on standing up quickly is also common. Inform your doctor if you notice severe headache, confusion, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or serious eye symptoms such as sudden vision changes or eye pain.

Mechanism Of Action Arbeedect 4mg Tablet:
Arbeedect Tablet contains Moxidectin, an antiparasitic agent that causes increased permeability and influx of chloride ions in the parasite’s nerve and muscle cells, leading to hyperpolarization and paralysis. This action affects the microfilariae (larval stage) of the worm, reducing their numbers in the skin, though it does not kill the adult worm itself.
