Description
Introduction Of Luprodex 22.5mg Injection:
Luprodex 22.5mg Injection contains Leuprolide Acetate, a GnRH (LH-RH) analogue used mainly in the palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer.
Luprodex 22.5mg Injection is administered only by a trained healthcare professional as a single intramuscular injection, providing a 3-month depot effect. Your doctor will decide the dosing schedule and duration of treatment based on your condition and response. It should never be self-administered and must not be given intravenously.
During the first few weeks of treatment, hormone levels may temporarily rise before falling, which can cause a short-term worsening of symptoms such as bone pain or difficulty urinating. This is a normal response to the medicine. Hot flashes and injection site reactions are among the most common effects. Inform your doctor right away if you notice bone pain, numbness or weakness in the arms or legs, or blood in the urine.

Machanism Of Action Of Luprodex 22.5mg Injection:
Luprodex Injection contains Leuprolide Acetate, a GnRH analogue. It initially causes a brief rise in hormone levels, but with continued use, it suppresses the signals that drive testosterone production, bringing testosterone down to very low levels. Since prostate cancer cells depend on testosterone to grow, this helps slow the progression of the disease.
