What is Bosutris 500mg Tablet used for?
Bosutris contains Bosutinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used to treat chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Liver function tests are checked frequently at the start of treatment (as often as every 1-2 weeks initially, then less often once stable), along with regular blood counts to watch for low platelets or white cells. Kidney function is also monitored, since bosutinib can affect it over time.
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, and fatigue are common — diarrhea in particular occurs frequently and should be reported if severe or persistent. Fluid retention (swelling, or fluid around the lungs/heart) can also occur; report unusual swelling or breathing difficulty.
