Mechanism Of Action Of Etibo 250mg Tablet :
Etibo 250mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine. It blocks the HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) and EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) proteins, which are responsible for excessive cell growth. This is how it inhibits the growth of cancer cells by blocking downstream signaling pathways.
Important: Lapatinib can reduce heart function, particularly in patients who have previously received other HER2-targeted therapies or anthracycline chemotherapy. Your doctor will usually check your heart function (via echocardiogram or MUGA scan) before starting treatment and periodically during treatment. Report any new shortness of breath, swelling in the legs, or unusual fatigue to your doctor promptly.
